Pick an image with room for text
The Meme Generator adds optional top and bottom captions to an uploaded image. It uses bold Arial or a sans-serif fallback, white fill, and a black outline. The output retains the source image dimensions and is exported as PNG.
Choose an image whose upper and lower areas can accommodate lettering without hiding its subject. A little empty space makes captions easier to read than a busy edge full of faces or detail. The generator does not offer text dragging, custom fonts, or an automatic background panel behind the words.
Export a simple two-caption example
Upload an 800 × 600 JPEG or PNG. Set Top caption to Monday plan, Bottom caption to One task at a time, and Caption size (pixels) to 48. Select Generate result.
The expected output is an 800 × 600 PNG named erithra-meme-generator.png. The visible captions become MONDAY PLAN at the top and ONE TASK AT A TIME near the bottom because the implementation uppercases the entered text before drawing it. The white letters should have a black outline; the original image remains behind them.
The text is centered and wraps on whitespace to fit the available width. If you choose a different source image size, the same 48-pixel text will occupy a different proportion of the image. Review the actual preview instead of assuming one font size suits every upload.
Shorten before shrinking too far
Caption size can range from 10 through 200 pixels. Total caption text is limited to 500 characters, and a caption requiring more than six wrapped lines is rejected. Shortening the sentence usually improves a small-screen meme more than reducing the text until it is barely readable.
Very long unbroken words do not provide normal wrapping opportunities. Avoid URLs and dense technical identifiers in the caption. If both captions occupy a large share of a short image, they may collide with the subject or each other even when the operation succeeds.
Share the message accessibly
The exported PNG contains rendered pixels rather than selectable caption text. Repeat important wording in the surrounding post or its available alternative-text field. An outline helps with visual separation, but it does not make every image background or caption size accessible.
Use an image you are entitled to edit and share. The supported input formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP, up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Processing stays in the browser. For a particular post shape, settle the crop with Social Media Image Resizer or Image Cropper before adding captions.
