Generate factual Article or Organization JSON-LD

Choose one of two schema types, map the fields to visible facts, and review the resulting script block.

Structured data should describe the page you actually publish. The JSON-LD Schema Generator creates a small script block for either an Article or an Organization. Its limited fields make the output straightforward to inspect, but they do not amount to a complete structured-data audit.

Choose the type before entering the facts

Select Article or Organization in Schema type. Enter Name or headline, Canonical URL, and Description. The URL must be a complete HTTP or HTTPS address without embedded credentials. For Article, also enter Article author (Article only) and Article publication date, then choose Generate result.

The form presents the author and date controls for both types, but the generated Organization object does not include them. Supply the required form values as needed, and inspect the actual output to understand which facts were used. Choose the type that matches the entity you are describing rather than selecting one for hoped-for search treatment.

Map a small article example

Suppose the headline is Packing a camera bag, the URL is https://example.com/camera-bag, the description is A checklist for a small kit., the author is Asha Patel, and the publication date is 2026-10-29. With Article selected, the object contains @context set to https://schema.org, @type set to Article, and a headline field holding the supplied title.

It also includes the URL, description, an author object with @type: Person and the entered name, and datePublished: 2026-10-29. With Organization selected, the title instead becomes name, while author and publication date are omitted. This difference is intentional and visible in the generated text.

Review the script and its limits

The result is a complete application/ld+json script block, available to copy or download as schema.html. JSON is formatted for reading. Less-than characters inside supplied values are escaped as \u003c before insertion into the block, reducing the chance that text will prematurely interfere with the enclosing script markup.

The generator does not fetch the canonical URL, inspect the visible page, validate provider-specific requirements, or guarantee a rich result. It also does not add images, logos, modification dates, organization identifiers, or nested publisher information. Review those needs separately using reliable facts about the page and entity.

Generation happens locally in the browser. Publish only information meant to be public, particularly author details. After adding the block to your site’s source, inspect the rendered page for duplicate or contradictory structured data. Use the JSON Formatter for separate JSON inspection and the Meta Preview to keep the page’s title and summary consistent with its subject.
