Crop an image using exact pixel coordinates

Set a crop rectangle from its left and top edges, calculate valid bounds, and apply a consistent crop to compatible images.

Cropping chooses which pixels remain in the picture. It changes the composition without stretching the selected area. ERITHRA’s cropper uses numeric coordinates, making it useful when you know the exact region required or want the same rectangle from several consistently framed images.

Describe the rectangle

Upload JPEG, PNG, or WebP images and inspect their previews. The left edge is the number of pixels from the image’s left side. The top edge is the number from its top. Both start at 0: a crop beginning at the original top-left corner uses left 0 and top 0.

Enter crop width and height in pixels. A value of 0 means use the remaining width or height after the chosen starting point. It does not mean an empty image. The crop must stay entirely within the source, so the left edge plus width cannot exceed source width, and the top edge plus height cannot exceed source height.

Process the image to obtain a PNG. Cropping does not automatically scale the remaining area to a standard social size. If you need that second step, resize the cropped output after confirming the composition.

Calculate a centered square

For a 1600 by 1000 pixel landscape, a centered 1000 pixel square starts 300 pixels from the left and 0 pixels from the top. Set left to 300, top to 0, width to 1000, and height to 1000. The discarded 600 pixels are split equally between the left and right edges.

The result is 1000 by 1000, with no added pixels. Setting left to 700 with the same width would fail because 700 + 1000 exceeds 1600. Check the arithmetic before retrying an out-of-bounds crop.

For a batch, this exact rectangle applies to every selected source. An image with smaller dimensions may reject the crop, and differently positioned subjects may be cut off even when the numbers fit.

Review edges and retain the source

Choose up to 20 images, no more than 20 MB and 40 megapixels each, with combined input/output limited to 100 MB. Compare the before/after thumbnails and inspect downloaded edges before taking individual files or the ZIP into another project.

All processing occurs in your browser. Canvas export may remove metadata and color profiles, and animation becomes a still image. Keep originals so discarded areas remain available. Use Image Rotator & Flipper first when orientation needs correction, and Image Resizer afterward when the crop needs different delivery dimensions.
