Frequently asked questions

When are monthly contributions assumed to occur?

At the beginning of each month. The formula includes an extra monthly growth factor compared with month-end contributions.

How is the annual return assumption converted?

It is divided by twelve to obtain a constant monthly rate, rather than converted from an effective annual return. Actual returns are not modeled.
