A shared video URL may carry a playlist, a timestamp, and extra sharing parameters. The YouTube Video Link Cleaner rebuilds a simple HTTPS watch URL from the video identifier. It preserves one supported t query parameter and discards other source parameters, so it is useful when you want to share the video itself with a clearly understood starting point.

Enter the complete link in YouTube video URL or ID and choose Generate result. You can also supply a bare eleven-character ID, which produces a watch link without a start time. Supported URL forms use the same parser as the Video ID Extractor, including normal watch URLs, short links, and supported Shorts, live, and embed paths.
The tool does not open the video during cleaning. It validates the URL’s format and constructs the result locally. A syntactically accepted identifier does not prove that a video is public or available.
Inspect a timestamped example
For input https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXc?t=1m30s&si=example, the result is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXc&t=1m30s. The si value is omitted. The video identifier and supported t value remain, while the short-link host becomes the standard watch URL.
The implementation accepts compact time patterns made from hours, minutes, and seconds, such as 1h2m3s, 90s, or 90, subject to its pattern and twenty-character length limit. It does not calculate or normalize the duration of that text. A value can match the format without representing the moment you intended.
Only the t query parameter is considered for preservation. A time stored in a fragment, an embed’s start parameter, or another field is not carried forward. Playlist parameters are removed as well. If you need a viewer to remain inside a particular playlist, inspect whether this simpler link still serves your purpose.
Check the result in context
Copy the cleaned URL and open it yourself before adding it to a public page, message, or resource list. Confirm both the video and the starting point. The tool cannot check the meaning of the link or guarantee how the provider will handle a retained time string.
Cleaning a URL removes parameters from this copy; it does not make the destination visit anonymous or change the provider’s behavior. No account connection or video download is involved in generation.
